Commercial Evaluations
Find 5 different commercials on any online source (YouTube, Veoh, anything that can be linked). Link them on the blog and write a paragraph for each, analyzing them.
What is the visual style of the film (animated, live action, stop motion)?
What is the tone (happy, sad, scary, funny)?
What is the product they're selling?
Who is their Target Audience?
What is the 'problem' that the product is solving?
How does the commercial talk about these problems?
Is there a Narrator? If so, is the narrator a voice over (off screen) or a character on screen?
Do you feel that the commercial is successful? Why?

Icelandic Vodka commecial
The commercial is animated around one person doing live action. The tone is funny and happy. They are selling vodka and targeting anyone who drinks alcohol. Mostly adults. The product is solving the need for good plain vodka. She talks about it with a funny accent and an almost cute way. The narrator is a character on the screen talking. I think the commercial is very funny. The use of the real person and the animated background really ads to the video.

Panda Plus Animation
I've been playing with the pandas from illustrator and im not sure if i want to use them or just use photographs. I think it might look more professional and better. I'm struggling with making the panda the same and different in every frame. I plan on trying this but maybe also trying some other options with photographs

Commercial Ideas
Panda Plus
Panda missing black part of fur on torso. Puts on black Panda Plus sweatshirt to complete his look. Looks like a Panda.
A panda looking through clothes in a store. Then walking out into Panda Plus store.
Panda looking in mirror naked without black fur. Then puts on his black sweatshirt.
A panda bursting out of his clothes. Takes them off and puts on clothes from Panda Plus that fit.

Panda Plus Letterhead
I kept the letter head simple. Kept the Panda Logo and same text as the business card. Added to lines below and above the text to make it stand out.

Panda Plus Business Card
For my business card I wanted to keep it simple and clean. I wanted to incorporate the Panda colors of black and white with a hint of color. The green is the same throughout. I used a fun font and took away my original text in my logo. I put the panda on both pages since he reduces pretty well on the back. I also thought the black line was simple and professional looking.
